About the Event

Join Newmarket Conservation Commission members and other volunteers on Earth Day to improve the trails, habitats, and educational signs at the town's 160-acre Wiggin Farm Conservation Area.

We will construct 50 feet of boardwalk to improve the trailhead that begins with a short bridge across a wetland. Volunteers will help clear invasive plants around trailside interpretive signs and reset and clean sign posts. Other trail and roadside clean-up and other invasive plant removal as time permits.

April is a perfect time to see nature unfold, listening to birds sing and watching insects emerge. The fields, wetlands, and woods of Wiggin Farm are a wonderful place to spend a spring morning.

What to bring

Please bring your own work gloves, water, and snacks. Best to wear long pants, long-sleeved shirt, and sturdy shoes. We will provide all the tools, lumber and other materials.
