About the Event
Representatives from the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF) will be presenting a series of information sessions during the month of March, 2020 for potential volunteers to learn about a variety of volunteer opportunities available in the White Mountain National Forest. There are opportunities for all regardless of age or ability. These sessions, to be held at New Hampshire libraries statewide, will provide a general overview of volunteering and will get you pointed in the right direction for what interests you.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Trailhead Stewards
- Backcountry Patrol
- Assist Wildlife Biologists
- Create signs in the wood shop
- Visitor Center
- Historical Interpreters Trail Adopters (maintenance)
- Front country maintenance on buildings
- Maintain wildlife clearings
- Monitor vernal pools
- Conduct a bat census
