About the Event

Come and help the Durham Land Stewardship Subcommittee clean up this beautiful, recently acquired Conservation Property. The Pike property needs some old fences (electric, metal and wooden) and other debris removed from the property to allow better access to public and wildlife! We will also be working to remove invasive plants to help maintain the health of this forest. People will learn how to identify the invasive plants and why it is so important to tackle them when possible! Join us for a few hours of hands-on work in a fun atmosphere and connect with people from our Durham community. We will have extra gloves, tools, water to refill bottles and snacks. All are welcome at this community workday!

What to bring

Water, lunch, long pants and sleeves. If you have these available, you can also bring your own work gloves, pruners, loppers, hand saws.
