About the Event
Non-native upland invasive plants pose a serious threat to forest productivity and natural environments in New Hampshire. This workshop, designed for foresters and natural resource professionals, will provide participants with a foundation on managing invasive species in New Hampshire including principles of weed ecology, wildlife habitat considerations, integrated vegetation management, project planning strategies, and available tools and resources. Strategies for using chemical application techniques as part of an integrated vegetation management plan will be emphasized, along with details regarding pesticide licensing requirements in New Hampshire. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and field discussions, this workshop will cover the current science and key concepts in upland invasive species management.

Want to improve your invasive plant identification skills? On May 9th from 9:00am-11:00am, there is an optional Upland Invasive Plant Field Identification Workshop, in Goffstown, NH. There is no cost for this workshop. Separate registration is required. Two (2) SAF Category 1 CFEs and 2 Pesticide Recertification Credits available.
