About the Event
Volunteers are invited to learn about local invasive species, methods to control them, and how to remove them. Included in the 1.5-hour session, volunteers will remove various species from a dedicated location on the Science Center property. Volunteer Manager Carol Raymond will lead the group, often alongside Master Gardener Liz Stevens. Following the session, volunteers are invited to enjoy well-earned cold beverages and snacks.
What to bring
Volunteers are encouraged to dress in old clothes, including long pants and sturdy footwear. Hats, sunglasses, bug repellent and any other personal protection is recommended. Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
Youth Instructions
Youth 12 years and older are welcome with chaperones. Sixteen years and older do not need a chaperone unless registering as a group.
