About the Event

Interested in learning more about butterflies? Spend a few hours reviewing 20 common species that live in NH including their wing patterns, host plants they depend upon as caterpillars and various places they can be found in the state.

The second part of this event is learning how you can participate in collecting data to help track their populations over time by joining in organized field days or exploring places on your own. Expand your knowledge beyond the monarch and tiger swallowtail to species such as the American Copper and Great Spangled Fritillary to be part of the NH Butterfly Monitoring Network.
