About the Event

It's Seed Season! Join in the seed sorting fun at Tuckaway Farm, Lee NH on Sunday January 26, 1-4 pm and Saturday February 8, 1-4 pm.

Learn how to clean, sort and prepare seeds for planting while helping to restock our community seed bank. Piscataqua Seed Project runs a community-focused seed bank. We gather and receive seeds from local seed savers, clean and package the seeds and redistribute those seeds to all who wish to grow a garden for free. You can make a contribution by volunteering to get seeds ready for spring. Join us for one afternoon - or for all three - and take home the seeds you need for your own garden! We meet at Tuckaway Farm's Emerson Community House in Lee, 4 Captain Smith Emerson Road.

What to bring

If you have any seeds that you want to donate to the seed bank, please bring those. This can be seeds you saved or extra seeds that you have purchased but are not going to plant. Bringing seeds is completely optional! This is indoors but can be a bit cool during the winter months so be sure to wear cozy clothing.

Youth Instructions

Youth age 8 and up are welcome to come with an adult but must be interested in working with seeds
