About the Event

Help maintain the boundary line on the Appalachian Trail corridor land, protecting the land conserved for the Trail. Boundary maintenance involves re-painting yellow blazes on trees, clearing brush, and finding metal survey markers called monuments. Be prepared to bushwhack off-trail and wear clothing that might get some paint on it.

For the DOC-AT Boundary work day scheduled for Saturday September 11, we will conclude rehabbing the AT boundary on the east side of Moose Mountain's South Peak. (We have left about 11 monuments-worth of work to finish up the area south of Wolfeboro Road). Please confirm if you can come, so I can bring enough equipment. Also let me know if you would like a ride from the Hanover area.

What to bring

Lunch, snacks, plenty of water, sturdy footwear, clothing that may get paint on it, warm clothing, rain gear, and a backpack good for a day hike,
