Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests
Get outside with the Forest Society’s group volunteer workdays occurring all over the state of New Hampshire! The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, founded in 1901, is a non-profit forestry and conservation organization. We own and manage over 56,000 acres of protected forest land in the state of New Hampshire. Download trail maps from our website to explore our forest reservations! To help steward these trails, sign up to receive monthly email updates for group workdays. Throughout the year you can expect to see opportunities for new trail construction, trail work on existing trails, litter clean-up, and habitat and vegetation management. We also offer occasional training related to trails and trail maintenance, including chainsaw safety and maintenance.
