Every spring juvenile American eels, also known as glass eels, start migrating from the ocean to our coastal rivers throughout NH. Coastal Research Volunteers partners with NH Fish and Game to collect data on the annual upstream migration in New Hampshire, and we are looking for new volunteers to help. Join us at the Mill Pond Dam to learn about these amazing fish for a hands-on training. No experience is necessary to participate. Trained eel monitoring volunteers are able to sign up to fill daily eel monitoring shifts throughout the spring.

Accessibility: Participation in this project sometimes requires walking on steep and uneven slopes.
