About the Event
The goal of this program is to "get people outside to enjoy nature while minimizing impacts to wildlife." Trails are built for many purposes such as walking, running, biking, exploring, etc., but we should be mindful of the inherent wildlife as we plan our trails. There are many considerations to take to ensure the most successful coexistence of people and wildlife in our plans. State Lands Habitat Biologist Jim Oehler and Wildlife Ecologist Rachel Stevens, both with NH Fish and Game will present this program. It is intended to help landowners, conservation groups, and natural resource professionals interested in developing a thoughtfully located network of well-maintained trails to meet the goals for all.
