Well come experience it for yourself and join Forest Society staff foresters Wendy Weisiger and Steve Junkin for this tour of an active timber harvest on the 209 acre Porter-Rogerson Forest in Tamworth. Carroll County Extension Forester Wendy Scribner and consulting forester Tim Nolan will also provide insight on the management of this predominantly pine woodlot. This field trip involves a moderately easy 1 mile walk with very little elevation gain. Please bring a water bottle and wear sturdy hiking footwear.
