About the Event

Come join our Community Work Days on the summit of Mount Agamenticus and learn about early-successional shrublands. We need your help to maintain this important habitat!

The summit area is divided into strips that are cut on a 5-year rotation to maintain structural diversity for wildlife species. Smaller shrub species and other vegetation are left uncut to encourage their foothold. The tools we will be using are loppers and handsaws which we will provide.

COVID19 Safety

In order to ensure that we are following current CDC guidelines for physical distancing, Work Day spaces are limited and registration in advance is a must.

Wondering how to make sure you keep yourself and others safe during this time? Nature Groupie has created a quick, free training to help you stay healthy.

What to bring

Sturdy shoes; thick pants (Working in and around shrubs and bushes); water; work gloves (we have spares if you don’t have any).

Youth Instructions

Youth volunteers must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of Work Day.
