About the Event

Come enjoy learning about stewardship along the federally-designated Wild & Scenic River. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help clear trails and manually remove invasive shrubs. Other management tasks may be part of the mix. Ongoing stewardship is needed to maintain the quality of our trails and conservation land. Volunteers are needed for a variety of service activities. Projects include clearing and widening trails that have been encroached by growing shrubs, manually removing harmful invasive plants, and closing a trail to improve safety and limit erosion.

What to bring

Volunteers should expect to get their hands dirty. Come prepared to work hard with appropriate clothing, and boots that will hold up well in mud and dirt. Please bring your own work gloves if you have them. Please bring a refillable water bottle. We will provide water to refill bottles.

Youth Instructions

Individuals, small groups, and larger groups are all welcome. If youth are under 14, they need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
