This task can be daunting and it is important to develop a sustainable strategy that works with the resources available to you. Learning from your peers and sharing ideas can be a helpful step in developing a strategy that works for your town.

Join Tom Brightman, Land Stewardship Coordinator for the Town of Durham and Rebecca DiGirolomo, UNH Extension Natural Resource Field Specialist, for a tour of the Thompson Forest property in Durham. The tour will highlight Durham’s ongoing efforts to manage invasive plants in a shrubland/meadow and the adjacent forest on this 53-acre property. After the tour we will go to the Durham Town Hall for a discussion hour to learn more about Durham’s town-wide invasive plant strategy, to share ideas and talk through the challenges of managing these plants at a landscape scale.
