About the Event
The work for the day will involve learning trail maintenance techniques to deal with RUNNING & STANDING WATER ISSUES on the trail. Standard trail drainage structures and techniques include water bars, dirt dips, knicks, crib walls, out sloping retention ponds, check dams, etc. all designed to slow or removed water from the trail.
What to bring
Please bring your daypack, hiking/work boots, water bottle, bug spray and work gloves (we have spares if you don't have any). Tools and equipment needed will be provided. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided after event.
Youth Instructions
Youth volunteers are welcome to attend all Community Work Days, but must be accompanied by parent or guardian for the duration of the event
