About the Event

Note: This event has been cancelled due to high water on the trail (5/12/25). We will reschedule at a later date.

Join us for a hands-on volunteer event with York Land Trust staff as we build timber bridges for a multi-use trail at one of our limited access preserves. This project will help enhance the trail experience for outdoor enthusiasts while contributing to the preservation of our beautiful public spaces. No prior experience is necessary – we will provide safety and tool use training at the event. Parking is limited at this site, so we will be meeting at York Land Trust’s office, 1 Long Neck Marsh Road, and carpooling over to Old County Rd. Optional: Volunteers with their own power drills and attachments are encouraged to bring them to help with construction!

What to bring

Wear close-toed shoes and long pants. Bring work gloves, a bagged lunch and water. Optional: Volunteers with their own power drills and attachments are encouraged to bring them to help with construction!

Youth Instructions

Youth volunteers are welcome!
