Description

Join The Rey Center in protecting this fragile and heavily impacted environment by becoming a Welch Ledge Steward. Ledge Stewards are trained to educate hikers about  the importance of staying on trail in order to protect the exceptionally vulnerable subalpine plant communities that inhabit the Welch Ledges, and Welch & Dickey Mountains. Stewards collect data that will help guide efforts to protect these fragile communities, and share information about the human and natural history of this very popular and well-loved hiking destination. No experience needed, training is provided.
