Description
For anyone who owns a pool in New Hampshire, you can help survey for Asian Longhorned Beetle in your pool filter. ALB is a serious risk to trees and forests, and was found in Massachusetts in 2008. ALB hasn't been found in New Hampshire as of today.
Help us by looking at the debris from your swimming pools. In addition to a swimming pool, you need:
- A digital camera
- An email address that you actively use
- Enough computer skills to follow instructions to upload pictures to a website.
This project is sponsored by NHBugs.com, a website hosted by UNH Cooperative Extension Forestry & Wildlife Program.
Youth Instructions
Anyone with easy access to an outdoor pool (including access to pool filters) is welcome to participate.
