White Mt. National Forest to Hold Volunteer Info Sessions

Representatives from the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF) will be presenting a series of information sessions during the month of March, 2019 for potential volunteers to learn about a variety of volunteer opportunities available in the White Mountain National Forest.  There are opportunities for all regardless of age or ability.  These sessions provide a general overview of volunteering and will get you pointed in the right direction for what interests you.

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities include:

  • Traihead Stewards
  • Backcountry Patrol
  • Assist Wildlife Biologists
  • Create signs in the wood shop
  • Visitor Center
  • Historical Intepreters
  • Trail Adopters (maintenance)
  • Front country maintenance on buildlings
  • Maintain wildlife clearings, monitor vernal pools, conduct a bat census
